Diablo 4 introduces a whole new way to approach the series. This time around, skill building isn’t the main driver of your character’s power — it’s loot.
This installment of the series also features a fully-fledged multiplayer experience in the form of Clans. To create a Clan, you’ll need to head to the inn located in the first hub town of Kyovashad.
Stash Chests
With all the loot that drops in Diablo 4, it isn’t long before your bag gets stuffed with weapons and items you don’t want to carry around with you. Luckily, the game provides players with a way to pass this equipment on to other characters. In Diablo 4, that process is done through the Stash Chests.
These chests can be found in each town or hub, and are usually located near the game’s main Waypoint. In Kyovashad, for example, it’s found up and slightly left of the Wardrobe. At first, each Stash Chest offers 50 slots to store items in; however, it can be increased by spending gold.
The items in the Stash Chest are not lost when a player logs out of the game (though they will disappear after a few minutes if left on the ground). The contents of the chest are also saved when switching between different games and Acts.
Players can reclaim any missing equipment from their Stash after the end of a season. This includes Legendary and Unique items that they might have missed when raiding a dungeon, as well as some equipment that was dropped by other players. However, it’s important to note that items can only be reclaimed once per account, and only when the original player is still on the same game.
Shared Stash Tab
During their journey through Skarn’s wartorn land, players will acquire a ton of loot. Some of it will be class-specific items, or even legendary gear that can be used by different classes. This kind of loot is valuable but it can quickly overflow a character’s inventory. Fortunately, Blizzard included a great way to store this excess in a special tab called the Stash.
The Stash is a special inventory chest that is shared across all characters on the same account. This means that you can place an item into it and then access it on any other character in the game. This is a great way to save important items for when you need them on another class, or even if you’re switching between classes in the middle of a run.
As a result, the Stash in Diablo 4 is an important mechanic to understand. This is one of the most popular features in the game, and a lot of people are interested to know how it works.
For starters, the Stash is unlocked once you reach the first hub city in the Fractured Peaks, Kyovashad. It is located up and slightly left of the main Waypoint, next to the Wardrobe. From there, it will be available in every town and hub that you visit from then on. In addition, you can increase the number of Stash tabs that you have by purchasing additional spaces with gold.
Shared Items
Diablo 4 is a game that showers you with weapons, armor, and gear as you hack down demons in the world of Sanctuary. You can use these items to upgrade your character’s skills, and even salvage them for crafting materials. However, it’s likely that you’ll collect a ton of equipment that may not be optimal for your character’s build.
This is where the Stash feature comes in. Accessible in the main hub city of Kyovashad after completing the prologue, the stash is an inventory storage system that you can use to safeguard items you don’t want to keep equipped. You’ll be able to place any item in the Stash and have it available to any other character on your account.
The only caveat is that the item will still be instanced to your character, and it will only appear in the Stash if your account is logged in on the console or PC that you used to place the gear there. Blizzard’s Stash feature is a nice addition to the game, and it’ll allow you to easily swap out gear without wasting your valuable inventory space.
You can also group up with other players to combat the demonic horde together in Diablo 4. Simply hover over the player and click the directional button indicator floating around their character to invite them to your party. This allows you to increase your dungeon clear-speed and increase the amount of loot you’re able to grab each hour.
Co-Op
Whether you’re an avid solo player or love to play with friends, Blizzard has created a system that makes it easy for players of all skill levels to team up and fight the horrors of Sanctuary together. While you can play diablo 4 gold alone, you’ll often encounter other players in social hubs and during world events. While it’s not necessary to team up, many players prefer to explore the game with a buddy and experience the joy of looting with others.
In order to be able to team up in Diablo 4, you’ll need to have reached the first town, Kyovashad, which you can do during the prologue or after you reach Level 5. From there, you can access the Co-Op menu and find players with whom to play.
Once you’ve joined a session, you can chat with other players via text or the native, cross-platform voice chat. You’ll also have access to the shared stash, which allows you to place items in or take them out. The stash is accessible to any character on your account and you can use it to swap equipment between classes.
It’s worth noting that local couch co-op is currently restricted during the beta, as it requires players to be on the same platform. However, some players have reported success with game share on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One, which is a great way to team up on your journey through Sanctuary.
